Mental Health First Aid 〰️
Why train with me
Mental Health First Aid instructors come from many backgrounds — often education, human resources or corporate training.
Mine is clinical.
I have worked on inpatient MH wards and in complex community mental health, alongside people experiencing acute distress, dysregulation, crisis and recovery.
It means the examples in the room are real ones, and the questions that people are often nervous to ask get a proper answer.
I am also a MH occupational therapist, so my focus is practical: how mental health actually shows up in daily life and at work, and what tools genuinely help.
And the training itself is energetic. I care about adult learning, which means interaction, discussion and practice rather than four hours of slides. People remember what they have had a chance to use.

An evidence-based framework they can apply well beyond the course
Who it suits
Workplaces and teams in disability and health services, allied health, community services, education and the volunteer sector — anywhere staff regularly encounter people in distress but have not been trained for it.
